Well this plane has sought it last flight. flight 13 and deadstick. Landing while deadstick. Full reason for what it did is unsure of yet. Im being told pilot error but my sticks were centered. So further review to be done. I touched down and i drifted back and forth hard then as it started to cart wheel the gear ripped out. When it hit the ground the fuse snapped in half, cracked the fuel tank, and ripped of the wing. Its a bolt on wing but there could be more internal damage. So i think its time to get a new engine and a new plane. If anyone can help me get a nice aerobatic plane up in the air again im open to offers.

Whatever airplane you end up with .....try powering it with the engine that the design called for. I've watched your posts and this isn't the first time you put a larger engine in the airplane than what it called for.

The 61 puts allot of weight on the nose of the airplane and makes it overall heavier than the designer intended. It will also handle differently than the designers intended regardless of where the CG is.

A side effect is that when an Over Gross airplane has anything other than an Very soft lading, things break.

If you can find one....an original 60 size Ugly Stick with a 40 on it to start with would get you learning power management and aerobatics...Once you get that mastered, you could put that 61 on it and have a ball.

Plans are available, the Wing is straight and if you build it with No dihedral and a conventional gear, you'd have a fine aerobatic airplane.....I used to keep one as a back up airplane for pattern flying. It wasn't the same as my Dirty Birdy but it was a GREAT Cheap knock around airplane that did everything and went where you told it to.

Hey my extra i was gonna retire it but i decided to repair it. I just have to fix the fuselage and its done. But i dont want the plane. It needs a good home. If anyone is interested just let me know. Brand new this plane as a kit is $200 and is now discontinued. But im willing to let this plane go to a good home for $35. Its a nice plane to fly and very stable i must say after about 2-3 flights. I ran a supertiger .61 on it. It does not have unlimited vertical and it is not full 3D capable. More of the next step up. But yeah if anyone is interested $35. No matter how much i love this plane it needs a new home. It comes with the motor mount and balsa/fiberglass firewall. No servos or engine. 10oz. full tank and minnie mouse pilot figure(not installed) included.
