Default Extended Auto Warranties

What is your take on them? Any recommendations?

If you ask Consumer Reports they say they are a scam, buy a reliable car and normal maintenance will cost less than the warranty company charges you.

MAN you screwed me up with that title. I was about to buy an extended warranty for my "autos". I sure need one after my last blade stop.

I was a chevy mech for like 12-13 years...I still have my ASE master tech card......When the wife and i bought a new suburban in 2007 I got and extended warr....10year/100k..bumper to bumper...was like 1500 dollars..may take was it would protect my wife if something happened to me...also new car part are VERY expensive.....just the control head for my suburban costs like 600 bucks just for the part

If you are talking about the extended warranty the Race car drivers and the like are selling on TV, like Dave says, "Run like HELL". Been all over the news as a big scam! Just another way to screw the American Public. Nothing like getting it from our own people.
